We are pleased to announce that Kenji Aihara, who lives in Utah, USA, is now a SAITO GUITARS ARTIST. We got to know him and his activities as a musician through our official SAITO GUITARS Fans Page on Facebook.

アメリカのユタ州在住のギタリスト、Kenji AiharaがSAITO GUITARS ARTISTに加わりました。

彼はS-622とS-622TLCを複数使用しており、それぞれ異なる弦のゲージでセットアップされています。私達は公式Facebook GroupであるSAITO GUITARS Fansで彼と知り合い、その活動について知ることが出来ました。

Biography

Kenji was born in Hokkaido, Japan.

He moved to the US after graduating from high school.
As a Classical Guitar Performance Major with a Jazz Scholarship at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, Kenji performed in many concerts and festivals, receiving awards at the Northwest Jazz Festival, Reno Jazz Festival, Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival and Fullerton College Jazz Festival.

Kenji and his groups have opened for such national acts as: The Roots (Hip Hop), George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic (Funk), Toots and the Maytals (Reggae), and Diana Krall (Grammy winning Jazz vocalist/pianist).
He has appeared with Randy Brecker (Grammy winner), Bob Mintzer (Grammy winner), Tom Scott (Grammy winner), Roy Hargrove (Grammy winner), and many other well-known artists.

He performs regularly in Salt Lake City, Utah, and surrounding areas.
He also works as a studio musician and teaches privately.

北海道出身。高校卒業後渡米。

ユタ州のウィーバー州立大学にてジャズ奨学金を受けながらクラシカル・ギターを専攻。在学中に数々のジャズ・フェスで受賞する。

これまでにThe Roots, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Toots and the Maytals, Diana Krall 等のオープニングアクトを務め、Randy Brecker, Bob Mintzer, Tom Scott 他、数々のグラミー賞受賞者達との共演経験がある。
現在はギタリスト、スタジオミュージシャン、ギター講師として活動中。
