About Dave Wood
Los Angeles based producer, touring and studio guitarist, Dave has appeared with Andra Day, Dua Lipa, Jessie J, Common, Jennifer Lopez, Sabrina Carpenter, Mike Garson (David Bowie), Violet Grohl, Steve Perry, Natasha Bedingfield, Jonathan Butler, Elle Varner, Marie’ Digby, Jesse McCartney, Lil Wayne, Taylor Hicks and Hilary Duff. Multiple appearances on The Tonight Show, Austin City Limits, The 2018 Oscars, Dick Clarks New Years Rockin Eve, Ellen, Steven Colbert, the Today Show, MTV Music Awards and the White House.
In early 2020, composer Joachim Horsley hired Dave to perform in Warner Brothers ‘Batman – Soul of the Dragon’. Released early 2021 the animated movie topped the Blu-Ray charts for several weeks. Dave is a reoccurring guitarist for Disney’s ‘Big City Greens’ and HBO’s ‘Gordita Chronicles”.
As an arranger/producer Dave has been featured in Pixar’s ‘Cars 3’, TV commercials for Hyatt, Genesis, Coca Cola and as a composer for the end title credits of Paramounts ‘Ben Hur’. His self-published instructional book ’The Secret Guitar Method’ has been helping aspiring guitarists since 2005.
2009 to 2015 he performed at Sayers Club, Hollywood/Las Vegas with Prince, Stevie Wonder, Slash, Macy Gray, Gavin Degraw and many others.
2010 Dave opened Lucan Sound Studios catering to production, writing tracking and mixing. A custom built studio with state of the art reflective panels designed to enhance acoustics.
Dave and producer Mike Bennett aka ‘The Structure’ have been collaborating since 2008 as a full service production team with credits on hundreds of national and international placements of original and custom music. TV credits include NBC, ABC, Discovery Channel, TLC, VH1, Spike TV and many many more.
A Berklee College of Music graduate, Dave spent seven years in New York City honing his craft with various artists like Norah Jones and Greta Gertler. In 2003 he formed Music Evolutions Inc to house music studio & publishing, began composing original compositions for Paramount TV. In 2004 he was featured in Electronic Musician Magazine for his home recording techniques.
