About Shotaro Tamaki
He started his career as a pro musician in 2006, and is working as a bassist, keyboardist, composer, arranger.
He is well known a member of a Country-Pop band “Lululu“, Progressive-Neo Soul band “NU minor“ and music unit “Lucky Strike“ which collaborated dancers, he has also supported the live performance and recording for a lot of artists.
He plays not only the bass but also many other instruments, including analog synthesizers, mandolins, washboards, and bodhran. His groovy sound, which is heavily influenced by black music such as jazz, soul, funk, and hip hop, has gained support from a wide variety of artists.

2006年よりプロ活動を開始。
カントリーポップユニット『Lululu』、プログレッシブ・ネオソウル・バンド『NU minor』、ダンサーとのコラボユニット『Lucky Strike』等のユニットでの活動の他、スタジオミュージシャン、サポートミュージシャンとして活動中。
アナログシンセサイザー、マンドリン、ウォッシュボード、バウロン等、ベースのみならず、数多くの楽器を操る。ジャズ、ソウル、ファンク、ヒップホップ等のブラック・ミュージックに色濃く影響を受けたグル―ヴィーなサウンドは、多種多様なアーティストから支持を得ている。

The S-420bCSJ doesn’t feel overly compressed and responds well to my touch and dynamics. For me, this is the ideal instrument that truly brings out the sound character as I like to have precise control over the sound at my fingertips.
Because it’s such a straightforward instrument, I feel it’s also suitable for modern players who try to shape their sound with foot pedals.
I have heard from many PA staff at venues that it outputs its sound character but it’s easy to handle it. This is what a best praise I’ve ever heard before.
I am truly sure that this is one of the best basses perfectly fits in contemporary music scenes while paying homage to vintage basses. I appreciate this wonderful opportunity.
